WynBay LLEN is the broker, facilitator, and administrator of two VDSS (Vocational Education and Training Delivered to School Students) clusters, comprising 25 schools across Wyndham and Hobsons Bay. The two clusters have been in operation for over 17 years. The VET Cluster Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Partnership Manager in managing both the Wyndham and the Hobsons Bay VET Clusters.
Roles and responsibilities
- Assist the Partnership Manager in the day-to-day activities and operations of the VET Clusters
- Assist in the implementation of the Department of Education’s VET Cluster framework.
- Provide secretariat support to meetings of Cluster governance and operations groups
- Act as the day-to-day liaison between schools and other stakeholders
- Produce and update Cluster documentation including Cluster operations guidelines, student handbooks and promotional materials.
- Provide critical information to inform reporting for VASS and all stakeholders and partnerships.
Key Selection Criteria
Experience
- At least 3-5 years’ experience working in, or with, VET in secondary schools, TAFE or RTOs.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and manage relationships
Knowledge
- Understanding of the Victorian secondary school system, especially VET
- Understanding of how RTOs and TAFEs operate and function in the provision of VDSS
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft packages, especially Word, Excel and MS Publisher or similar design packages
- Knowledge of the role of Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA), Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) and Victorian Skills Authority (VSA).
