About the role

The Community Fundraising Coordinator builds quality relationships and delivers a positive, personalised, and engaging experience for digital and peer-to-peer fundraisers. The role takes the lead on supporting fundraisers via our livestream program and will help WWF-Australia in exploring emerging digital programs for fundraising potential. The role helps develop, implement, and coordinate activities across an assigned community fundraising portfolio, which includes signature campaigns, livestream and virtual fundraising. The position supports the acquisition, retention, and ongoing engagement of community supporters; with the aim of growing revenue and increasing supporters' lifetime value, in alignment with WWF's conservation goals.

Key accountabilities (please refer to PD for full list)

  • Collaborates to implement the strategy to attract, retain and engage community fundraisers, to increase income from existing and prospective supporters.
  • Adopts a relationship management approach to grow and retain a pipeline of community fundraisers and provides them with support and guidance to motivate them toward achieving their fundraising targets.
  • Identifies opportunities for third-party fundraising (with a focus on livestream, virtual, and signature event fundraising) and supports the development and implementation of new community fundraising initiatives (with a focus on emerging innovative digital channels) that aim to grow the giving portfolio.
  • Collaborates to develop and update marketing collateral and engagement communications to inspire prospective and existing supporters.
  • Represents WWF-Australia at relevant events (inclusive of virtual events) to improve the fundraising outcome and promote opportunities for people to support WWF's mission.
  • Coordinates the successful delivery of virtual events and in-person third-party events ensuring deadlines are met and risks are mitigated.

Skills, knowledge and experience

  • Demonstrated understanding of the community fundraising and fundraising campaign environment.
  • An interest and understanding in streaming, Web3/Metaverse, virtual and other potential emerging digital channels.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of customer service and relationship management skills, preferably within a fundraising, sales, or account service environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse groups and deal sensitively with people and personal information.
  • Demonstrated self-organisation and attention to detail, with a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Demonstrated competency in third-party platforms (e.g. Twitch, Tiltify, Funraisin) and social media platforms.
  • Collaborative team player to achieve shared goals.
  • Interested in design thinking and innovation frameworks, principles and practices.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including attending events outside business hours as needed.
