Purpose of the Role:
As the Child and Family Centre Coordinator, you will be an integral part of our Executive team, responsible for driving the management and delivery of programs within WSNC. You will lead a dynamic team in overseeing partnerships and their evaluation to ensure our services achieve measurable impact while building capacity within our community. Your role will also involve enhancing our influence within the education and philanthropy sectors, cultivating strong engagement with senior stakeholders in government and philanthropy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Program Leadership
- Champion WSNC’s programs, services, and initiatives that cater to children and families.
- Set the strategic direction for program planning, execution, and refinement, increasing our reach, funding, and impact.
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership team to align with overall organizational strategy and drive sustainable growth.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management
- Strengthen relationships with community and government partners across NSW.
- Build and sustain connections with philanthropic donors to support our initiatives.
- Ensure high-quality communication, presentation, and reporting to stakeholders.
- Operational Management and Program Delivery
- Lead, manage, and support our growing team at WSNC, ensuring effective staff and volunteer processes.
- Oversee program data integrity, collaborating with the Leadership team to implement strong systems for evaluation and efficiency.
- Communications
- Work collaboratively with leadership to develop communications that support marketing and fundraising efforts, highlighting our impact.
- Engage in public speaking and advocacy opportunities to represent WSNC.
- Contribute to proposals, grant applications, and reports for fundraising and thought leadership initiatives.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Education: Tertiary qualification in community, social work, youth and or education, public policy, communications, or a related field.
- Leadership: Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and developing teams, with strong knowledge of the community, social justice and education and/or philanthropy sectors.
- Evaluation Frameworks: Experience in developing and implementing evaluation frameworks.
- Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for engaging senior stakeholders.
- Advocacy: Experience in advocacy and engaging with stakeholders across systems and partnerships.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Canva and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Funding and Budgeting Proficiency: Experience in managing and development of budgets, funding applications and grant acquittals.
Selection Criteria:
Applicants should provide a written response addressing the following criteria:
- Experience in managing multiple projects and stakeholders, including reporting outcomes.
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams.
- Leadership experience and understanding of the education and community/or philanthropy sectors.
- Experience in developing and implementing evaluation frameworks.
- Experience in advocacy work and engaging senior stakeholders.
