World Wellness Group is seeking mental health practitioners, psychologists and mental health accredited social workers, occupational therapists and nurses to join our allied health team in the provision of multicultural psychological therapies to people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
This is an opportunity to work at the forefront in the delivery of cross cultural primary mental health care services in a collaborative and multidisciplinary team setting. Sessional and flexible hours available.

Multicultural Psychological Therapies Program
WWG offers psychological therapy services via the following programs:
- Multicultural Psychological Therapies (PHN funded)
- NDIS, International Students (Insurance)
As a specialist multicultural psychological therapies service, mental health practitioners at WWG are skilled cross-cultural practitioners who work with interpreters and/or multicultural peer support workers to provide culturally tailored and responsive psychological treatment for people with mild to moderate mental health problems.
Position Objective
The Mental Health Practitioner works within their discipline specific code of ethics as part of the allied health team to deliver a range of psychological therapies within the mental health and wellbeing program via individual and group therapies. This position offers a great opportunity to work at the forefront of the delivery primary mental health care services for people from diverse cultural backgrounds in a collaborative and multidisciplinary team setting.
The position will have a key focus on:
- Assessing, tailoring and delivering a range of client focused evidence based psychological therapies
- Connecting with different disciplines within the clinic to ensure optimum client care
- Managing quality and risk.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in psychology, or mental health accreditation in occupational therapy, social work or nursing and experience in working with CALD people in mental health settings:
- Social Worker: The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Social Work as well as eligibility for full membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) with mental health accreditation.
- For Occupational Therapy: The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia is required.
- For Psychology: The successful applicant must possess a four-year degree in Psychology from an accredited tertiary institution. Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia is required. Possession of a Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited tertiary institution, or significant progress towards this, would be highly regarded. Overseas trained psychologists who meet provisional registration requirements are welcome.
- For Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practicing certificate and mental health accreditation. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties.
- Knowledge of best practice mental health practice and treatment frameworks relevant to culturally diverse clients
- The ability to demonstrate and encourage leadership and teamwork
- Ability to effectively communicate and promote good interpersonal relationship internally and externally to the clinic
- Ability to communicate with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds with respect and without judgement
Desirable
- Previous experience in provision of psychological therapies to a culturally diverse clientele
- Previous experience in a cross-cultural setting
- Language(s) other than English
- Possession of relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in mental health would be highly regarded for a position at this level
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association
- Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties
- Provide copies of Blue Card and Police clearance certificate
