We have an exciting new opportunity for a Manager, Impact Partnering and Programming to join our team at World Vision Australia. This is a permanent full- time opportunity based Australia-wide.

This role leads a high performing team that effectively captures, applies, and communicates impact data and other evidence of change with Australian First Nations partner organisations and communities to ensure that World Vision Australia and partners can demonstrate a credible account of change to all stakeholders.

The role also leads a technical team who supports high-quality partnering and programming advice to achieve long-term community-led impact which enables Australian First Nations people and organisations to lead their own development.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Australian First Nations Program you will be responsible for;

  • Quality partnering: Leading and providing guidance to a team of technical experts to ensure AFNP programming work is consistently aligned with and adheres to our strategic priority of effective partnering with First Nations organisations to lead their own development and grow the impact of evidence-based project models
  • Provide technical support to Australian First Nations Partner organisations
  • Quality Programming: Ensuring AFNP Strong Spirit Practice Framework is implemented across the program and partnerships
  • Leadership and Strategy: Leading and supporting a strong and high performing team of technical experts, enabling a culture of technical discipline, collaboration and passion for First Nations people leading their own development and communicating the impact of community-led development over the long term

About you

You will be a natural leader and an incredible storyteller who is equally as passionate about changing lives and tackling the big issues together with a talented team of professionals. Skills and experience include:

  • Demonstrated success and experience in community development practice, in particular working in the Australian First Nations development sector and with remote First Nations communities.
  • Team leadership, training and mentoring of staff.
  • Experience developing, brokering and fostering partnerships.
  • Conceptualising sustainable development models and approaches.
  • Understanding of the cultural, political, economic and social issues affecting First Nations and other culturally and linguistically diverse groups.
  • Understanding of key development cross-cutting themes including; gender, environment, disability, safeguarding and peace-building.
  • Tertiary degree in Social Science, Community Development, Health or related discipline or equivalent experience.
