DevOps Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join World Vision’s high performing Digital team. Reporting to the Head of Digital Delivery, your primary responsibilities will be to build, maintain and support our Azure cloud services that power our supporter facing digital platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for cloud technologies and loves working in a fast-paced, collaborative, agile environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining World Vision’s web hosting platforms using Azure Cloud services.

  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to build, test and release web applications across environments.

  • Improve efficiency by automating all aspects of cloud infrastructure, testing and code deployment.

  • Ensuring maximum uptime of key applications through monitoring and actioning of system issues.

  • Implementing and optimising current hosting solution as required to ensure optimal performance and cost.

  • Working collaboratively with the broader digital team to support the development of various web applications.

  • Actively working towards keeping WVA’s digital platforms secure and PCI compliant.

About you:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure’s cloud platform, specifically services related to web application hosting and architecture (such as App Service, App Plans, Application Gateway, Databases Services etc).
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with C# .Net 4.5 or .NET Core.
  • Hands-on experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps.
  • An understanding of secure coding practices.
  • Knowledge of containerisation/Docker/AKS

This role is a permanent position operating in a full-time capacity and will be based at our head office in Burwood East, Victoria.
