Woodfordia enters an exciting time as we review our technology, systems and platforms.

The Head of Technology will work closely with the executive team to manage and review our systems, identify appropriate changes of tech and platforms, implement those changes, and to manage our site networks.

Woodfordia has an extensive existing digital footprint, in parts carrying legacy decisions from the past decades. As an ambitious not-for profit in the arts, we are often challenged in our financial capacity, however, we choose to continue to aim for the stars.

We are looking for someone to:

• work with our existing technology, to maintain and manage those systems,
• to analyse our digital footprint, and the organisational needs,
• to develop a plan for improving our systems and its meeting of our operational goals and needs,
• to project manage changes, with adherence to strict budgets,
• oversee our office and event site networks, including some in-house work but largely identifying the best external service providers.

What to expect

We are keen for someone to join our team asap, to ensure a helpful handover from our outgoing IT manager.

We envisage a period of ‘holding the course’ as you become comfortable with our systems, platforms, personnel and background.

Within 3-4 months, you will report on the key areas for suggested change, including suggested solutions. Our key focuses for review will include:

• Website development and improved sustainability, security and usability.
• Our CRM and interfaces with ticketing.
• Booking and transaction platforms.

Network

You will manage the office and event networks, however this will largely include identifying the best external service providers, with (initially) the guidance of our CFO.

WHO WE ARE

Woodfordia is a not-for-profit, community driven organisation with our 500-acre headquarters at Woodfordia, approximately five minutes drive from Woodford in SE Queensland, Australia.

Our organisation, when it purchased this property in 1994, had a notion that rather than just sing about issues facing the environment, we get our hands dirty by planting trees.
