For over 40 years Women’s Legal Service Victoria (Women’s Legal) has championed women’s rights to live free from violence. We are a dedicated team with a passion for working with women and non-binary people to live free from violence and discrimination by:
Working closely with the Manager – Education and Engagement, the Senior Education and Engagement Coordinator will lead a pilot workforce development initiative with a focus on private family lawyers. The coordinator will design and deliver high quality training to legal professionals working with people at risk of or experiencing family violence.
The role provides advice on and implements best practice and strategies to enhance training, capacity building, and workforce development activities designed and delivered by Women’s Legal.
This includes:
You will be a skilled educator and trainer with experience in designing and delivering training that aligns with adult education principles in family violence, family law, or child protection and meets audience needs. With strong project management skills, you can develop strategic capacity building and workforce development initiatives and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to enhance the capacity of legal professionals to support women experiencing family violence. You have excellent communication and facilitation skills, a deep understanding of feminist frameworks, and the ability to mentor others.
