ABOUT THE ROLE
This team of 3 provides intensive outreach case management across the three program areas. The program’s relatively low caseload is reflective of the holistic intensive outreach support provided.
Our team provides holistic case managed housing support to young people exiting youth justice centres or the care and protection system. Support is provided to young people in transitional housing or on an outreach basis.
YOUR QUALITIES
The role would suit a highly motivated practitioner who has experience supporting vulnerable or disadvantaged cohorts. Experience or an understanding of the Youth Justice and/ or Continuing Care/ out of home care sectors is preferred.
- You will relish the opportunity of working alongside a passionate tight knit team and enjoy thinking creatively about interventions for young people at risk.
- You will have the ability to provide holistic support to people with complex behaviours and an understanding of some of the challenges this brings.
- You will have a working knowledge of the housing & support system and the causal factors of homelessness
- You will have an openness to self-reflection, feedback, learning and developing as part of a team
- You’ll be up for a challenge – every day will be different
WORK ARRANGEMENTS
- A 12 Month position
- .8 EFT – 4 days per week
