About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse to be part of a new service supporting consumers in the community to enhance their health, wellbing, independence and quality of life. Reporting to the Senior Manager Nursing & Allied Health, this role provides nursing services to consumers in their home. The initial focus of the role is Commonwealth Home Support Program services. However, with opportunities to expand into disability services as the team grows.

About you

We are looking for a person who can demonstrate:

  • Alignment with Uniting’s values
  • Registration with AHPRA
  • At least 3 years experience in the aged care or disability sector
  • Specialist nursing knowledge and experience in the area of cognition, continence, pain, diabetes or wound assessment and management.
  • Excellent understanding of the disability and aged care sectors and the care and support needs of consumers.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain productive professional relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team with highly developed communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage a workload.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with clinical management systems.
