  • A genuine business partnering role where the work isn’t easy, but it matters.
  • Based at our Melbourne CBD, Blackburn, or Dandenong office + work from home.
  • $90k - $100k + super + increase take-home pay with salary packaging benefits.

About the role

Every day brings new challenges and opportunities – our P&C Business Partners thrive in this varied and fast-paced environment. They value the strong relationships they build with our people leaders, focusing on coaching, advising, and guiding them to effectively manage all workforce matters.

Leveraging your robust generalist HR skills, you will provide both strategic and operational support throughout the employee and volunteer lifecycle. You will play a key role in guiding and supporting change as the organisation launches new programs, divests existing ones, or adjusts operating models.

As a single point of contact for people leaders, you will assist with workforce planning initiatives, coach and advise leaders on managing employee relations and complex workforce issues, and conduct a range of workplace investigations as needed. You will help leaders implement effective performance management practices, fostering high-performing, consumer-focused teams.

What’s on offer

It’s a full-time role, but we can also consider a part-time option of 8 to 9 days a fortnight. We believe in flexibility and offer a combination of work-from-home and office days – you can be based at either our Lonsdale Street, Blackburn, or Dandenong offices.

There will be some travel involved and regular face-to-face interaction will be essential to building solid partnering relationships and ensuring your success in the role.

In addition to receiving a salary ranging between $90k - $100k + superannuation, you’ll have access to $15,900 salary packaging benefits annually that can be used on rent, mortgage repayments, or living expenses such as groceries, bills, clothing, streaming services, and much more. With our meal entertainment benefit of $2,650 per annum, you can also save on dining out and drinks, making the most of your pre-tax dollars.

There is also the option to increase your annual leave entitlements through our purchased leave program, access to paid parental leave for up to 10 weeks and can receive a 10% discount on the childcare subsidy gap fee when using a Uniting Early Learning service or centre.

About you

You are self-reliant, love a good problem to solve, and have a curious mindset that drives you to ask questions to gain deeper insights. You excel in an environment where you can leverage your comprehensive HR expertise and you feel energised when you see the growth of your people leaders' capabilities through your coaching, guidance, and advice.

You’ll also bring with you:

  • Substantial HR generalist experience supporting multi-site locations in all people-related activities across the employee lifecycle.
  • Proven business partnering experience, stakeholder engagement skills, and capability-building experience, through coaching and facilitating.
  • Experience in Award and EA interpretation and application, and coaching Leaders in resolving a broad cross-section of people-related matters.
  • Proven ability to case manage complex employee-related matters.
  • Experience involvement in change initiatives, including divestments, bringing on new services, realignment, and restructuring to enhance organisational efficiency.
  • Tertiary qualifications in human resource management or related field.
