Join our team and coordinate our volunteers and daily operations of our Op Shop in North Hobart. This is Uniting’s first Tasmanian Op Shop and we can’t wait to showcase stock from our Brunswick Warehouse! Our exciting retail growth strategy is all about being creative, innovative and unique. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate your expertise within a vibrant community in one of Hobart’s most lively retail and café strips.
Our Op Shops team are responsible for bringing their creative flair to create visually appealing and contemporary Op Shops. We encourage and build a culture of productivity, imagination, innovation, change and development. Our Op Shops allow you to tap into your natural way of being creative, enthusiastic, and having fun.
Our aim is to delight people in a meaningful and memorable way, while offering positive customer experiences, high level visual merchandising, critical stock and space management, achieving sales targets, and celebrating Uniting’s culture.

It’s a full-time permanent role, working 5 days per week from 9:09am to 5:15pm. We may be flexible with days for the right candidate.
You will join a highly capable and competent team that is friendly, helpful, respectful and imaginative.
In addition to base salary plus superannuation, you’ll also receive 17.5% leave loading, 25% discount at all Uniting Op Shops and access to the full $15,900 salary packaging benefits.
There is also an option for additional purchased leave to increase your annual leave entitlements and access to learning and development opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for fashion and charity retail and have a flair for visual merchandising.
You will ideally have experience in cash handling, register operations and closing procedures and be confident in supervising a team as well as working on your own.
