About the opportunity

This role supports the promotion of the safety of families by providing timely support services and interventions to support parent development, stronger relationships and improved family function. The role will include case management, safety planning, information, referrals and ongoing support to participating clients, within the scope of the program that the family is referred to.

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in providing early intervention support to families.
  • Knowledge and experience of safe practices of work, when working in a remote and/or outreach capacity, as a solo worker.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare for and conduct case plan meetings and implement agreed actions.
  • A tertiary qualification in the areas of Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology, Counselling or related community services discipline.
