We have an opportunity within our new WISE IDEA (Innovation Development Evaluation Application) program [CC1] .

As the Program Director within the Innovation, Mental Health and Employment (IMHE) area of WISE Employment, you will be responsible for the delivery of WISE IDEA strategic plan, providing leadership to the WISE IDEA team and overseeing the deliverables on the WISE Employment Strategic Roadmap in relation to WISE IDEA. Reporting to the Executive Steering Committee on progress and performance via the Director IMHE.

The role:

You will be responsible for successfully researching, developing, evaluating, adapting, promoting and facilitating the delivery of a range of interventions, products and services designed to assist and promote sustainable employment for people with mental health conditions. This includes program or product development for three key groups: people with mental health conditions, mental health and employment services and employers.

Successful strategies will be promoted and implemented in the WISE Ways to Work (specialist vocational rehabilitation and employment support program program for people living with mental health condition) ) and the broader WISE services where appropriate, and rolled out in mental health, NDIS and employment support sectors with grant funding or on a fee-for-service basis.

Requirements for the role:

• Demonstrated experience and excellent understanding of the mental health sector and services
• Excellent organisational, leadership and management skills
• Demonstrated experience in project managing complex deliverables and operationalising new programs
• Commitment to creating sustainable employment for people with mental health conditions
• Commitment to research and evaluation and building the evidence base for effective support strategies
• An analytical solution focused mind-set with great problem solving abilities
• Experience in developing and maintaining partnerships
• Thorough understanding and experience in project/program management techniques and methods
• Demonstrated ability to develop, test, cost and operationalise new products and take to market
• Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
• Experience with data analysis, reporting and budgeting
• Experience working in an Agile/Lean project environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in the use of project management toolsets eg. JIRA, Confluence, MIRO as well as MS Office Suite
• Experience in employment services, advocacy and promotion, business modelling and translation of activities to mainstream funding all desirable
