About the Role

We have ambitious plans for increasing our impact for Australian wildlife and expanding our national collaboration, so we are looking for an equally ambitious individual to come on board at this exciting time.

This key role will provide exceptional service to WIRES corporate donors, nurturing positive long-term relationships to increase corporate engagement with WIRES and increase fundraising income to expand our wildlife-saving services. It will include working closely with the team on developing and growing workplace giving, corporate volunteering, corporate partnerships, and corporate fundraising programs.

This is a great role for those someone keen to grow their career within fundraising and to develop skills in corporate partnerships.

The successful candidate will have the ability to build and maintain positive relationships, a demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects, the ambition to be successful, and willingness to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing and growing our corporate partnerships, corporate donors, percentage of sales supporters, workplace giving, matched giving and corporate workshops
  • Help grow our corporate partnership program, assisting with meetings, welcoming in new partners, sending regular updates, following up renewals, building ongoing engagement and supporting retention
  • Assist with partner impact reports, board reports and business cases to support new initiatives and investment areas 
  • Oversee and follow up corporate fundraising requests and activities, monitoring donations received, providing appropriate program updates and thank you emails
  • Manage all of WIRES corporate focused fundraising platforms (such as Benevity, Good2Give)
  • Work with the Marketing team to brief any new corporate collateral and to ensure all corporate collateral is kept up to date
  • Work closely with the community fundraising team and be proactive with supporting and growing corporate staff fundraisers, customer fundraisers and corporate events, assisting them to achieve targets
  • Support and grow the WIRES corporate volunteering program by responding to enquiries, keeping collateral up to date, invoicing and assisting at workshop events
  • Assist in writing corporate partnership deliverables marketing briefs
  • Stay across corporate partnership industry trends and opportunities to ensure that WIRES becomes a significant player within the Australian marketplace, including ongoing research into how other charities are promoting the Corporate Partnerships, WPG and fundraising initiatives  
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of WIRES work and external market environment 

Selection Criteria

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Demonstrated excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to increase fundraising revenue
  • Demonstrated ability to improve results or outcomes in previous roles
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Highly organised, reliable, efficient & details orientated
  • Committed to prompt, high quality client service
  • Awareness of the importance of data integrity and accuracy & experience working with a range of systems

Desirable Criteria

  • Ideally a minimum 2 years relevant fundraising experience, but not essential
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or communications
  • Understanding of the competitive fundraising environment, as well as economic and market issues facing corporates in Australia
