about the opportunity

Wingate Avenue Community Centre is looking for an English as an Additional Language Teacher to teach 22363VIC Course in Initial and 22637VIC Course in EAL on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 28 April to 15 May 2025. The EAL CRT will also join in the Teacher’s Planning Day on Tuesday 22 April to work with the teaching team to set up the course units for the term. There is potential for CRT work to continue for three days a week for the remainder of term.

EAL Teachers deliver quality language, literacy and numeracy education programs at the community centre, create and maintain a classroom that promotes differentiated learning, and values cultural and linguistic diversity. The EAL CRT will deliver components of course content in accordance with the EAL Framework, VET accredited course requirements and AMEP and Skills First contractual obligations, which includes maintaining learner and teacher records.

Wingate Ave CC provides multiple, place-based services at the centre, including occasional childcare, accredited and non-accredited courses, employment support services, community programs and activities, as well as other co-located services.
