About the opportunity:

We are currently seeking a passionate Consumer Response Officer to provide quality and meaningful services to individuals and families so they can lead a better life.

Reporting to the Manager of Early Childhood & Educational Care Services, this consumer-facing role is responsible for intake, assessment and assistance for consumers navigating the Community & Health Service system. Furthermore you will onboard new consumers in relation to their specific service requirements and provide support and advice of appropriate referral pathways.

This is a part-time parental leave position commencing March/April 2020 until January 2021. Based at Toomah Community Centre in the heart of Pakenham, you will work within a contemporary style building that offers modern facilities and on-site parking.

To be successful for this role, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care (minimum Diploma level)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with the Community and Health Sector
  • Working knowledge of the Victorian Community and Health Services
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to quickly engage consumers
  • Strong intake and assessment skills, sound judgement and decision making ability
  • Strong knowledge of administration and use of different database systems
