Windana. Providing connected services to more people in need.
We provide services across Victoria for adults and young people experiencing alcohol and other drug harms, family violence, mental health challenges and social disadvantage.
Our Model of Care puts clients at the centre of what we do to create positive change in people's lives. We work with families, communities and other organisations to deliver trauma informed, equitable, culturally safe and integrated services based on evidence and practice wisdom.
Maryknoll Therapeutic Community (MTC) is a 77-bed facility that provides a safe space for residents to recover and heal by exploring their own life experiences and learning from the experience and insights of others.
We have an exciting opportunity for an AOD Peer Worker to join our team at Maryknoll Therapeutic Community on an 18-month Fixed Term Contract working 4 to 5 days per week.
As our AOD Peer Worker you will help residents in the AOD withdrawal program by sharing your lived experience of treatment and recovery from substance use.
We recognise the strength, courage, and unique perspective of people with lived experience of alcohol and other drugs and believe peer support is a powerful part of the recovery journey.
A valid Working with Children Check is mandatory for this position and a police check will be administered for preferred candidates. We are a child safe and equal employment opportunity employer.
