WHOS West - Penrith

WHOS provides a range of alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment programs in NSW and Queensland. Information on WHOS’ services can be found at www.whos.com.au.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated person to join WHOS West team located in Penrith. WHOS West provides assessment and referral services to people exiting withdrawal management, halfway housing with case management, group based AOD education and support.

The successful applicant will be experienced in:

  • Assessment and referral services
  • Case management, one to one support and groupwork
  • Providing AOD information and education sessions
  • Liaison with allied service providers
  • The use of electronic information management systems including electronic client file and data management, with strong administration and written communication skills

Selection Criteria:

  • Qualifications in AOD, Human Services, Community Services, or related fields
  • Experience working in AOD, mental health or a related field
  • Networking experience
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current driver's license and satisfactory WHOS driver declaration
  • Knowledge of AOD Harm Reduction approach
  • Knowledge of AOD, health and human sector services in the Nepean Blue Mountains region

Remuneration:

As per the SCHADSI Award based on qualifications and experience.
