Whitehorse Manningham Libraries has 2 part time opportunities for qualified librarians who are committed to providing excellent customer service in a public library environment.

About the Role

Relieving Librarians provide vital support to all of our branch libraries.

The successful applicant will:

• Have the ability to provide professional information and reader guidance services
• Have strong customer service skills
• Engage with a diverse community and stakeholders
• Enjoy working as a member of a team
• Have strong communication skills
• Possess a tertiary qualification acceptable for professional membership (librarian) of the Australian Library and Information Association
• Have the ability to work at multiple locations

The successful applicant must hold or be willing to acquire a Working with Children Check card and must be willing to undergo a National Police Record Check. Previous public library experience would be an advantage.

Applicants must have the ability to be able to work at any of the Whitehorse Manningham Library Branches and have the flexibility to work a variety of days and shifts, including week days and weekends. See the roster grids in the information pack for details.
