Reporting to the Manager Corporate Services, this role will advise and support marketing & communications activities across Whitehorse Manningham Libraries. This position has one direct report and will assist with the development and implementation of the marketing strategy. The role is part of a highly valued, community-based organisation that provides library services to the community across the cities of Whitehorse and Manningham.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Provide support to library staff engaged to promote the service at external forums and events as required
- Advise on effective marketing strategy to enhance the brand across the community
- Develop and implement a membership retention and attraction strategy
- Provide reports on the outcomes of specific marketing campaigns
- Oversee the application of corporate branding & communications collateral throughout the organisation
- Manage and maintain online communications content; including the website, intranet, social media and other online communication tools
- Write and edit a wide range of library communications including media releases and annual report
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience within Digital Marketing & Communications
- Knowledge and experience writing content for various platforms
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Excellent customer service skills dealing with a range of stakeholders
- Ability to prioritise and deal with competing priorities
