About us:

The Women’s Housing Company (WHC) Limited is a specialist provider of housing and homelessness services for women with and without children.

We are a registered charity and Tier 1 Community Housing Provider managing over 1200 properties providing housing, accommodation and support for women and children.

About the role:

  • Providing timely and pragmatic advice, support and guidance to leaders and employees on all people related matters.
  • In collaboration with the CEO and senior leadership team, define and deliver HR change initiatives, including the documenting or automating of key people processes.
  • Developing, up-date and monitor compliance with key HR policies and procedures.
  • Driving and support our talent acquisition processes by supporting leaders to attract, interview and on-board new hires.
  • Coaching and developing the leadership team to drive engagement and build high-performance teams.
  • Creating and contributing to the long-term goals for all aspects of HR accountabilities including employee wellbeing, positive workplace culture, diversity, inclusion, and equity.
  • Co-ordinating learning and development across the organisation and championing the professional development of our team, ensuring everyone has the opportunities they need to grow and thrive.
  • Managing the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to clear growth paths and ensuring a positive off-boarding experience.
  • Updating employee records, letters, and variations, communicating changes to relevant stakeholder departments – such as payroll, and supporting managers with variations to their team.

About you:

You will be a dynamic and forward-thinking People and Culture Leader who not only excels in day-to-day HR management but also brings a strategic mindset to the table but is also willing undertake small amounts of HR administration.

You thrive in a standalone role and enjoy partnering with Senior Leader and the broader business.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing people initiatives that align with our business objectives.

This role requires someone who can anticipate future organisational needs, drive cultural transformation, and create an environment where both the people and the organisation can thrive.

Experience in leading change initiatives and influencing senior leadership is essential to succeed in this position.

While this is a full-time role, we are open to hearing from you should a 4-day per week (with pro-rata pay) work pattern be preferred. Please confirm the work pattern and hours you are seeking when you apply.
