The Women’s Housing Company (WHC) Limited is a registered charity and Tier 1 Community Housing Provider managing over 1200 properties providing housing, accommodation and support services for women and children across Sydney, the Hunter and Coffs Harbour.
At WHC we provide housing and homelessness services to single women and women with children in NSW.
Last year, we housed almost 1,700 women and children, as well as supported over 300 homeless women. We have a particular focus on addressing the housing needs of older women, women with children, and women who have experienced domestic and family violence.

Contract: Fixed Term 12 months
Hours of work: 35
Location: Surry Hills and Western Sydney (travel to both locations is required)

The Income Recovery Officer is responsible for providing exceptional customer service through a trauma informed approach in supporting tenants to sustain their social housing tenancy by maintaining their rent repayments and managing any rent or non-rental arrears.
This position plays a key role in providing quality housing services and support to women, working proactively to intervene early to monitor, maintain and address rent arrears and assist tenants to link them with relevant services that support them to manage their debts, finances and payments.
The position is required to work as part of a team in improving outcomes for tenants. The Income Recovery Officer monitors and maintains rental and non-rental arrears consistent with the relevant legislative and contractual requirements and within the guidelines of the Women’s Housing Company (WHC) policies and procedures.
