Are you a creative communicator who enjoys storytelling, community engagement, and creating meaningful content?

Western Landcare NSW Inc. is seeking a passionate and organised Local Landcare Coordinator – Communications Officer to manage our digital communications and help share the work of Landcare groups, landholders, and communities across Western NSW.

This flexible, part-time, work-from-home role can be based anywhere within the Western NSW region. Working as part of a small and supportive team, you will play an important role in increasing the visibility of Landcare activities by creating engaging content across digital and print platforms.

About the role

The Communications Officer will manage and deliver Western Landcare NSW’s communications activities, including:

  • Managing social media platforms and developing engaging content to connect with Landcare communities and stakeholders.
  • Producing our regular newsletter, coordinating contributions and preparing content for distribution.
  • Maintaining and updating website content, including news, events, resources, and project updates.
  • Developing written and digital content using stories, updates, photos, and information provided by the Western Landcare NSW team and regional partners.
  • Supporting consistent branding, messaging, and communications across the organisation.
  • Coordinating communications projects, including our annual regional photography competition.
  • Providing communications and administrative support to the wider Western Landcare NSW team.

About you

You are a confident communicator with a creative approach to storytelling and a passion for using communications to connect people and support positive environmental outcomes.

You will have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing social media and digital communications.
  • The ability to create engaging content for a range of audiences and platforms.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage projects and competing priorities.
  • Experience with website content management systems and standard digital tools.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a small team.

Experience in environmental, agricultural, community, or natural resource management sectors will be highly regarded.
