The role of the Senior Family Violence Case Manager is full time, for three years fixed term, based in Dandenong and outreaches to City of Casey
Salary is negotiable within the range of $94,314 to $97,999 inclusive of super based on skills and experience. Wellsprings offers salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum.
Wellsprings for Women established in 1994 in Dandenong, Victoria, is a community- based organisation dedicated to supporting women to gain control over their lives, recognise the root causes to the barriers they face and gain skills they need to achieve their goals. Wellsprings provides a range of services and programs that are designed in consultation with women especially women of migrant, refugee and asylum seeker background and women impacted by mental health, trauma, poverty and family violence.

This is a senior role within Wellsprings for Women’s Specialist Family Violence Team. It is responsible for
- providing guidance to a team of case workers on case management best practice
- informing the team on emerging issues, new developments and changes within the family violence sector
- advocating for improvements within the family violence service system
- identifying areas for improving the administration of case management and implementing changes
- case managing clients as per funding agreement for this role
- liaising with external stakeholders on strategic family violence matters
Main Tasks include:
- Assess and induct clients who have been referred to the service
- Provide mentoring support and guidance to the case work management team
- Develop individual case plans, safety plans
- Facilitate and advocate access to a wide range of information, services and resources.
- Uphold the organisation's values in all relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain relevant documentation, verbal and written reports and internal and external data collection asr equired
- Provide monthly qualitative and quantitative reports to management on the performance and targets of Family Violence case management
- Evaluate clients’ experience for continuous improvement
- Participate in internal audits of the family violence case management service
- Work collaboratively with the Team leader and other Managers and staff at Wellsprings.
- Work and support women experiencing family violence including those living in the relationship
- Implement a framework for women remaining in the relationship experiencing family violence
- Promote Wellsprings programs to external agencies
- Attend a number of relevant networks to represent Wellsprings
- Apply continuous improvement approach by regularly examining practices and recommending change

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Social Work qualifications or equivalent as required for working within the Family Violence sector
Experience
- Experience in family violence case management
- Experience in working with migrant and refugee women
- Experience in working in community based organisations and within a small team
Knowledge
- Knowledge of the Family Violence Federal and State policies
- Full understanding of the MARAM Framework
- Knowledge of the Victorian Family Violence services sector
- Deep understanding of particular issues that affect migrant and refugee women impacted by family violence
- Full understanding of intersectionality and trauma informed practice
- Awareness of office, health and safety procedures
