About the role

As a member of small and supportive Finance team, you will be involved in all aspects of accounting with responsibility for administering NDIS claiming via the NDIA Portal, mentoring junior staff, conducting internal audit for periodical claiming, and preparing financial payments and reports. You will have a pivotal role in cash flow management including income budgeting.

You will work closely with a number of internal stakeholders and the Business Manager to ensure We Care NSW funding claims are processed, monitored and followed through to deliver NDIS related revenue for the organisation. You will also assist with annual audit and work closely with statutory auditors.

Skills and Experience

  • Accounting related Degree qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in a generalist accounting role
  • Well-developed ability to effectively multi-task, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • High level computer skills including well developed capability in the use of Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel and Word)
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in data recording
  • Experience working autonomously within a collaborative team
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to meet changing priorities in a growing and changing organisation
  • Knowledge of and / or experience with NDIS claiming an advantage
