Working Communities Network (WCN), a consortium of two DES providers working throughout Melbourne and Geelong, is currently looking for a provisionally registered Psychologist or Occupational Therapist to join our consortium. External supervision will be provided, at our cost, by an experienced supervisor recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia (APRHA).
The Provisional Psychologist/Occupational Therapist will engage with job seekers in the Disability Employment Services program to improve their capacity to acquire employment through a group-based learning environment. This is an established role and you will be working alongside another Psychologist. Please note that employment will initially be at 0.8 FTE in line with business requirements during the current pandemic.
Reporting to WCN Group Manager for daily operations and a consortium partner CEO for clinical advice and supervision, this position aims to provide a range of specialist and generalist counselling/therapeutic services in various settings to job seekers with mental health conditions. You must be comfortable working with a diverse client base.
You will develop and conduct a range of interpersonal and psycho-educational groups to support job seekers in seeking employment or taking part in appropriate education. You will propose the most appropriate interventions and management strategies for psychological issues through liaison with staff, job seekers, other service providers and medical professionals.

Travel between WCN sites is expected with travel costs covered.
A condition of WCN supporting you to become a qualified psychologist is that you continue to work for us for at least a year after registration as a psychologist.
