We deliver funded services and programs across the Southern Melbourne Area including the local government areas of Greater Dandenong, Frankston, Casey and Cardinia.
The Southeast Homelessness and Housing Alliance (the Alliance) was established to advocate for the unique needs of the Cardinia, Casey and Greater Dandenong region. Collectively, this region is known as Southeast Melbourne.
Australia’s housing crisis is amplified in Southeast Melbourne which typically has a lower socioeconomic population and growing population.
The Alliance was initially formed in 2023 from a need to bring together manager- level stakeholders working in housing and homelessness in Southeast Melbourne. The more senior membership of the Alliance provides a strategic view of the issues in the Cardinia, Casey and Greater Dandenong region to jointly advocate for change.
The Alliance Coordinator has a key role in the work of the Alliance and especially in supporting the Chair and the work of Project Groups, including governance support to the project group, build a shared culture and provide leadership for the group to achieve its vision and objectives, manage small projects and coordinate and report on larger projects, undertake advocacy, policy development, advocacy, research and building sector capacity.
