The role of Systems Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining and improving Salesforce at Wayside Chapel. You will work with the Database Manager to ensure our database is configured for success and provide guidance in best practice across; data management, moves management and financial (donation) management. You will contribute to strategic plans and collaborate with the Database Manager to create and maintain efficient and effective practices.

Key RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Database Manager in maintaining up-to-date information in the CRM system (Salesforce) and related integrated platforms (such as Payments2Us, Campaign Monitor, Fundraising and Apteco)
  • Support the development of policies, procedures and controls to maintain the highest level of data cleanliness, integrity, security and functionality of the database system
  • Support the Database Manager to train staff members on best practice use of the system, including onboarding of new staff
  • Alert the Database Manager of any system issues or platform irregularities and log and follow up on support tickets, as required
  • Minimise duplicate records in the system
  • Assist with report and dashboard set-up and updates, as required either in Salesforce or other third-party apps.
  • Support the Finance Team to improve integration of financial data between Salesforce and Xero, assisting with month-end reconciliation
  • Support the Database Manager with staff onboarding or one-off training sessions for Salesforce
  • Support fortnightly Monthly Giving reconciliation between Salesforce and Xero
  • Run the fortnightly Direct Debit batch for bank submission.
  • Work with the Database Manager to maintain relationships with relevant external stakeholders, such as consultants and partner agencies

about you:

  • A willingness to work within the ethos of Wayside mission, vision and values.
  • Extensive and practical Salesforce administration experience (minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience) with a strong understanding of fundraising platforms and integrations
  • Experience with Salesforce’s Nonprofit Success Pack will be well regarded
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Excel, Word, Access and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, especially analysing and interpreting large data sets and ability to interpret insights to support fundraising development and reporting
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders
