KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Coordinator is a new casual part-time role. The position has been created to support the coordination and implementation of a project on equitable access and person-centred health care in this region - the mid North coast of NSW. Responsibilities include administration, organising workshops, and connecting with diverse local community groups.

Project planning and support

  • Assist in developing a workplan and schedules
  • Support day-to-day tasks and ensuring milestones are achieved
  • Track expenditure and support financial reporting.
  • Ensure project activities are aligned with organisational objectives and timelines.

Stakeholder engagement and partner coordination

  • Facilitate communication with community partners
  • Cultivate trust and open communication with diverse stakeholders
  • Serve as the point of contact for collaborators about the project
  • Address project-related queries and partnership enquiries
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, and workshops.

Monitoring, evaluation and learning

  • Track project progress, including against key performance indicators and aligned with Watipa’s impact map
  • Identify potential risks and contribute to mitigation strategies
  • Help adjust timelines or resources as necessary to ensure the project stays on track

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience

Skills and experience

  • Strong organisational, time management, and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with software such as Microsoft Office, Mailchimp and WordPress

Experience with local and diverse community organisations in the Coffs Harbour region and Gumbaynggirr country is desirable.
