The Women’s Activities and Self Help (WASH) House works from a ‘holistic and relational’ standpoint, and is structured so that staff are supported to develop relationships in the communities in which they work. We are an organisation guided by the principles of empowerment, feminism and self-determination and offer a variety of services to clients and the community throughout the Blacktown Local Government Area. We provide family violence programs and services, including, case management, therapeutic counselling, early intervention and group programs, community development, and we are currently growing our services.

We are now recruiting for a Staying Home Leaving Violence Case manager.

About the Role

The SHLV case manager provides support to women and children escaping domestic violence through intervention, case management and group work services. This role works closely with clients by assessing safety needs, seeking to improve social, health, economic and legal outcomes for families, reduce homelessness and promote accountability for offenders of violence.

This is full-time position, working 35 hours, 5 days per week. Some weekend work may be required from time to time.

About You

The successful applicant will be a passionate woman with sound experience in case management and a proven ability to support women and children in crisis with complex needs. Your experience will also include networking, advocacy and you will have a good understanding of domestic violence.
