Senior Family Lawyer

Wallumatta Legal

About us

Wallumatta Legal is a low fee, not-for-profit family law firm that operates with a deep commitment to social justice. We aim to provide affordable legal advice and representation to the “missing middle” (that is, low to middle income earners) who often cannot afford the fees charged by private law firms.

Our firm operates a fixed-fee model - without billable hours - so our lawyers can focus on client outcomes, producing work of the highest standard, and fostering an excellent team culture.

Founded in NSW in 2021 through a partnership between DLA Piper and Macquarie University, the success of our model and a partnership with Melbourne University Law School led to our expansion into Victoria in early 2024.

Due to the high level of demand for our low-fee family law services, we are now expanding our practice and are looking for an experienced senior family lawyer to join us and be part of this exciting stage in our growth!

In this role you will report directly to the Managing Principal Solicitor and be part of the NSW practice which includes five lawyers and additional support staff.

If you have at least six years’ experience in family law, share our commitment to social justice and are eager to contribute to the growth of a pioneering firm that balances social responsibility with a sustainable commercial mindset - Wallumatta Legal might be the firm for you.
