This is not a Work Health and Safety position, rather you will have the opportunity to engage and work with Local Governments to build capacity for the planning and delivery of road safety policies, programs and promotions, that will contribute to reducing or prevent death and serious injury on WA’s local roads.
Perfect for someone with the experience and understanding of public health principles and health promotion practices, and also has experience in building relationships with a wide varitey of people by utilising their excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Being a Road Safety Advisor for WALGA allows the opportunity to use your research and analytical skills to source evidence-based information, that will support Local Governments in developing holistic road safety activities.
Promoting and showcasing the road safety activity of RoadWise Councils, you will get to share knowledge and learnings across the sector and gain invaluable experience.
This position involves travel within WA and will require a class ‘C’ Western Australian drivers licence.
RoadWise is funded by the Western Australian Government to engage and facilitate the involvement of Local Governments in the delivery of the national and WA road safety strategies.
