Volunteering Tasmania is the peak body for volunteering in Tasmania, representing the interests of all Tasmanians involved in volunteering through community engagement programs and services, advocacy, research and policy development.

THE ROLE
The Project and Events Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery of a range of projects and events, including the ‘Future of Volunteering’ Project activities designed to reduce organisational barriers to volunteering and support a more cohesive and coordinated volunteering sector that is better positioned to adapt to changing circumstances and needs.
Key duties will include:
- Facilitating stronger networks and collaboration across the sector to support ongoing learning and development.
- Planning and delivering regional workshops.
- Planning and delivering a statewide symposium.
- Coordinating the annual Tasmanian Volunteering Awards.
- Supporting Volunteer Involving Organisations (VIOs) and local Council areas to implement place-based, best practice recruitment, training, management, and retention strategies.
- Supporting local Councils and VIOs to implement strategic, innovative solutions to overcome persistent and emerging challenges.
