The Teacher Engagement and Registration Branch is responsible for the assessment of applications for teacher and early childhood teacher registration in Victoria. The Branch is also responsible for inbound stakeholder engagement, primarily through a call-centre and email correspondence.
Reporting to a Team Leader, the purpose of the role is to assess teacher registration and related applications according to legislative and policy requirements in an effective and timely manner.
The Teacher Engagement and Registration Officer will also handle telephone and email enquiries from applicants, teachers, principals, early childhood managers, employers and members of the public.

We have two vacancies available which are fixed term until 16 May 2025.
As an experienced customer service and/or regulatory professional, you will have sound and practical knowledge of current risk-based regulatory environments. You will have experience in dealing effectively with stakeholders, and ideally a passion for child safety and experience working within the education sector.
You will have strong communication skills combined with a highly organised approach and a proven track record in understanding and applying legislative criteria, policies and procedures.
