About the Role:

As a Senior Advisor Welfare at Victoria University, the role involves providing personalised support and guidance to students facing financial, welfare, and housing challenges. The focus is on offering tailored advice, resources, and programs to help students successfully navigate university life. It will involve close collaboration with academic and professional staff, as well as external agencies like Centrelink, aiming to empower students to manage their finances, access essential services, and secure stable housing. 

This is a part time position at the HEP 6 Classification with the Salary range of $85,667 per annum (pro-rata) - $92,728 per annum (pro-rata), working 14.7 hours per week (0.4 FTE) over a fixed term contract period until 28/02/2025.

Duties:

An example of duties you may perform will include:

  • Conduct a psychosocial assessment to determine student’s needs and referral pathways
  • Provide information and support for financial, housing, and general welfare needs
  • Assessing a student’s eligibility for financial aid within Victoria University and external agencies.
