We’re looking for a dynamic, organised and service-focused Front of House Supervisor to support the delivery of events at the Victorian Pride Centre. This hands-on role ensures smooth operations during functions and events, managing everything from coordinating bar service and venue setup, to supervising volunteers, casual staff and contractors. You’ll be a key part of making Australia’s first purpose-built LGBTIQ+ community hub feel welcoming, inclusive and professional for everyone who walks through our doors. If you thrive in fast-paced hospitality and event environments and have a passion for community engagement, we’d love to hear from you.

Provide direction and leadership to volunteers, bar staff, security, and performers
Ensure the Centre remains clean, safe, and ready for use pre- and post-event
Bar Management:
Oversee the bar, including set-up, service and pack-down in accordance with RSA standards
Maintain bar stock, monitor equipment, and ensure responsible service and compliance with liquor licensing
Support event security and manage customer service on event nights
Team Leadership & Administration:
Prepare event briefs and post-event reports
Train and supervise casual staff and volunteers during events
Support rostering, reporting, and booking administration during quieter periods
Assist with the development and improvement of operational procedures
Safety & Security:
Act as Chief Fire Warden during events
Monitor safety and compliance across all front-of-house and bar activities
Liaise with security personnel and emergency services when required
Maintain clean and OH&S-compliant storage and bar areas
You're confident leading a team, calm under pressure, and take pride in delivering high-quality experiences in hospitality or event settings. You’re someone who takes initiative, thrives in dynamic environments, and understands what it means to work with and for LGBTIQ+ communities. Whether you’re managing bar logistics, resolving event issues on the fly, or welcoming guests with a smile, you’re all about creating an inclusive and smooth-running experience.
Demonstrated experience in events, bar or hospitality supervision
Current Responsible Serving of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
Experience managing volunteers or casual staff
Ability to resolve issues quickly, calmly, and professionally
Strong understanding of customer service and community care
