We are currently recruiting to fill the new position of Local Government Partnerships Officer.

This position is located within a cross-organisational Policy and Research Office responsible for maximising VicHealth’s value in the public policy process and evidenced based thought leadership.

The Local Government Partnerships Officer reports directly to the Manager, Policy, and works in close partnership with other members of the Policy & Research Office, as well as other units across VicHealth.

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of project management tasks including contract/grant-making and project management activities associated with the delivery of the VicHealth Local Government Partnerships (VLGP).

You will also contribute to scoping and design work in the development of key projects and programs.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate stakeholder management and communication skills, with a focus on excellent attention to detail.

  • Unit: Policy & Research Office
  • Tenure: Full time, Fixed Term (Until 30 June 2023)
  • Classification: VicHealth Grade C
  • Remuneration: $73,039 (plus superannuation and other benefits)

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Relevant qualification at Advanced Diploma level and/or strong demonstrable experience working in a similar role
  • Experience working with rural/regional communities and with people with diverse lived experience across Victoria
  • Relationship management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with local government is preferred
  • Experience working in project management, with contract management experience desirable.
