The Victorian Allied Health Professionals Association (VAHPA) is seeking a strategic, driven, and hands-on Lead Organiser to help build the collective power of Allied Health Professionals across Victoria.

As a senior member of our team, the Lead Organiser plays a critical role in turning our strategic vision into action. You’ll lead and support a talented group of Organisers, ensuring our campaigns are disciplined, effective, and member-led. You’ll work directly with the Branch Secretary to shape campaign priorities, strengthen delegate structures, and grow union density.

We’re seeking someone with:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a union or campaigning context
  • Strong practical knowledge of organising, enterprise bargaining, and workplace rights
  • A commitment to democratic unionism and VAHPA’s values
  • The ability to coordinate and support workplace leaders, delegates, and HSRs
  • Excellent communication, planning, and team-building skills
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to mentor and motivate others
  • A valid driver licence and eligibility for a Right of Entry Permit under the Fair Work Act
  • Legal or industrial relations qualifications are desirable.
