The Victorian Council of Social Service (VCOSS) is a charitable organisation working to eliminate poverty in Victoria as the peak body and advocate for Victoria’s social and community services sector. VCOSS’ 200+ community organisation members share our goal to eliminate poverty and disadvantage in Victoria, and include social service providers, grassroots community groups, specialist peak bodies and advocacy organisations.
In addition to supporting the Victorian community sector, VCOSS represents the interests of vulnerable and disadvantaged Victorians in policy debates and advocates for the development of a sustainable, fair and equitable society.
Working in close partnership with the Chief Executive Officer and as a valued member of the Executive Leadership Team, this position will provide effective leadership and management of all finance, governance, people and culture, IT and administrative matters to enhance Victorian Council of Social Service (VCOSS) capability and capacity.
The position includes a strong focus on all financial and governance matters, budgeting and planning, compliance and reporting, HR and payroll, insurance and risk, policies, project accounting and compliance, digital and IT, as well as administration of VCOSS memberships, investment portfolio and board reporting.
The position will also have significant exposure to the Board through attending Finance Audit & Risk Committee meetings as well as full Board meetings as required.
