  • Salary: $97,377 - $101,787 plus superannuation and salary package

About the role

The Workshop Facilitator role will schedule, deliver and facilitate Financial Literacy Workshops statewide, across Victoria at all VACCA offices (Morwell, Ovens Murray, Chirnside Park, Melton, Werribee, Dandenong, Frankston).

You will be trained in the On Country Program and My Money Dream e-modules available through the First Nations Foundation as this will be VACCA’s preferred Financial Literacy Program. You will also collate feedback from participants and work with First Nations Foundation to adapt content, using a process of continuous improvement.

About You

  • Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the values that underpin VACCA’s vision and purpose 
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Mandatory)
  • Experience working with Aboriginal people and/or people experiencing financial hardship, rental stress, housing insecurity or homelessness
  • Experience working with young care leavers, victims/survivors of family violence, Aboriginal Elders, Kinship and Foster carers, young people and adults post release from prison, those that may be experiencing challenges with gambling, clients facing housing stress or homelessness or with pending legal action
  • Skills in training and workshop facilitation
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency on financial literacy and trauma-informed care
  • A working knowledge of credit systems used by banks, finance companies, utility companies 
  • Requirements: Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
