This position is responsible for supporting VACCA in embedding legislative and compliance requirements across the organisation’s policies, procedures, practice directives, and associated forms and templates. The role also provides oversight, management, and expert guidance on VACCA’s privacy obligations, as well as the Information Sharing and Practice Frameworks that govern the organisation’s compliance.
This role is responsible for leading the development, review, and maintenance of VACCA’s organisational policies, procedures, and practice directives to ensure they are current, compliant with legislation, and aligned with strategic objectives. It involves close collaboration with policy owners and subject matter experts, as well as maintaining supporting resources such as templates, registers, workflows, and definitions.
The role serves as a central point of contact for staff seeking guidance on policy interpretation and ensures timely communication of updates across the organisation. It also oversees VACCA’s privacy compliance, including identifying and managing privacy risks, responding to breaches, providing expert advice on legislative changes, and delivering staff training. Additionally, the position manages VACCA’s responsibilities under relevant information sharing and consent frameworks, ensuring the organisation meets its obligations when handling personal and sensitive information.
