  • Salary:  $65,000 to $72,000 FTE, plus super and salary packaging is available

About the role

Design Support Officer position supports the Communications team in the development, implementation, and regular review of VACCA’s communications strategy.

The strategy includes a range of deliverables such as the management of communications across multiple platforms for key audiences; strengthening sector and community awareness of VACCA; strategic development of media placement; internal communications; directing the development of organisational collateral including client services; and facilitation of events

About You

  • Awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures and commitment to continually build knowledge of such, along with a high level of awareness of the key issues which impact upon Aboriginal Communities.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce design materials across a variety of media, with knowledge of designing artwork for print and producing print ready artwork
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of graphic design software Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat)
  • Experience with digital mediums including social media, website content management systems, and MailChimp would be advantageous
  • Previous experience in a graphic design or design support role, or a qualification in graphic design. 
  • Requirements: Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
