About the role

The Care Services/Youth Team Leader will manage the Foster Care, First Supports and the Youth Engage programs. The Care Services/Youth Team Leader will manage the day-to-day operations of these programs with support from the Care Services Senior Program Manager.

About You

  • A Diploma or Degree Qualification in Community Services, Social Work or a related discipline and/or demonstrated substantial experience in work with young people with complex needs or a combination of experience, expertise and competence sufficient to perform the duties required.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and negotiate with government departments, Aboriginal services, and mainstream agencies.
  • Proficient understanding of the Child Protection system, the OOHC system, the Aboriginal Child Placement Principles and the Child Safe Standards.
  • Requirements: Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
