Our Climate KIC Team at the Institute for Sustainable Futures (ISF), is seeking to recruit a Research Director position that would work in a full-time/part-time capacity on exciting high impact projects focusing on climate adaptation and resilience, climate risk, adaptation finance and the building of resilient communities.
The Institute for Sustainable Futures (ISF) undertakes game-changing sustainability research at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Established for 27 years, ISF works with thought leaders in government, industry and community organisations, in Australia and internationally, to create change towards sustainable futures. Sustainability research is a key focus area supporting UTS’s vision to be a leading public university of technology recognised for our global impact. We are a dynamic and innovative university in central Sydney, consistently ranked the top young university in Australia. Beyond a vibrant new campus in Sydney’s creative precinct, at the heart of UTS are exceptional people.
Climate-KIC Australia was established in 2017 to catalyse climate action through systems innovation. Recognising that no single organisation or individual can change systems and solve the climate challenge on their own, Climate-KIC works with a broad network of organisations to develop and deliver systems innovation activities. We often play an orchestrating role, leveraging our collaborative network, bringing systems change intent and agency, working with diverse stakeholders, using a broad range of skills, capabilities and knowledge that increases the effectiveness and scale of our impact.
Climate-KIC Australia works within the UTS Institute for Sustainable Futures and collaborates with EIT Climate-KIC Europe’s largest climate innovation initiative.
