About the Role
The Project Support Officer is responsible for the ongoing support of the delivery, coordination, and reporting of the UTS Respect.Now.Always. (RNA) program.
You’ll play a key role in coordinating programs and activities that support students and staff. Working closely with the Program Manager and in collaboration with UTS faculties, institutes, and university services, you’ll help implement and review RNA’s initiatives focused on preventing sexual violence.
If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the delivery of the Respect.Now.Always. (RNA) Program by coordinating volunteers and ambassadors, managing merchandise, and maintaining effective administrative systems.
- Assisting with recruitment processes including advertising, scheduling interviews, and issuing contracts for RNA ambassadors.
- Managing communication channels including emails, phone enquiries, social media, and drafting content for web and print to engage students and staff.
- Coordinating and supporting the planning and execution of RNA events and training sessions, including logistics, venue bookings, and liaising with internal teams; flexibility to work outside standard hours is required.
- Acting as a first point of contact for stakeholder enquiries and maintain accurate and accessible contact lists.
- Collecting and maintaining feedback and data for evaluation and reporting, ensuring proper file management and program improvement.

- Experience managing systems and processes with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse stakeholders. Experience drafting correspondence, social media content, and managing shared inboxes.
- A respectful and empathetic approach to working in a program focused on preventing sexual violence and gender-based violence (GBV), with an understanding of the importance of psychological safety.
- A strong commitment to centring the needs, voices, and safety of the university community in all aspects of program delivery and engagement.
- Experience supporting the planning and delivery of events, including logistics and volunteer management. Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, showing initiative, resilience, and adaptability in a sensitive and evolving program context.
Remuneration & Benefits
- This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

- This position is part time (FTE 0.8, 4 days a week) and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
