UMFC currently has an opportunity for a Senior Practitioner to join our Carer, Aged and Disability Services (CADS) team in a Full-time capacity.

As the Senior Practitioner, you will lead the delivery of high-quality, inclusive services that respond to the needs of carers and people with care needs. Working closely with the Senior Team Leader, you will oversee case management, guide service delivery, and support a dedicated team of practitioners.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Practitioner, you will:

  • Lead the development and delivery of individualised and group carer support.
  • Manage complex cases and provide supervision and mentoring to team members.
  • Oversee brokerage, intake and case closure processes within delegations.
  • Ensure accurate, timely and compliant record keeping.
  • Collaborate with other CADS leaders to ensure seamless, high-quality services.
  • Promote inclusive and culturally sensitive engagement with clients and the community.

You are an experienced practitioner with strong leadership skills, a sound understanding of the community services sector, and a passion for building carer capability and connection.

You will bring:

  • A diploma or degree in Community Services, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in case management, group facilitation, and program delivery.
  • Supervisory experience and knowledge of best-practice frameworks.
  • High-level interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and person-centred support.
