UMFC currently has an opportunity for a Program Support Worker to join our Family Relationship Services (FRS) team in a Full-time capacity.
As the Program Support Worker, you will provide high-level administrative support and exceptional client service to facilitate the effective delivery of services to families across our region.
Key Responsibilities
As a Program Support Worker, you will:
- Be the first point of contact for clients and referrers, providing a welcoming and professional service experience.
- Manage day-to-day administrative functions, including supporting clinicians and the service manager, ordering supplies, setting up rooms, and managing program resources.
- Undertake and support intake and assessment processes, including initial screening for family violence, mental health concerns, court orders, and at-risk clients.
- Coordinate appointments, client communications, referrals, interpreters, and payments.
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality and quality control in client records and data entry (DEX Online).
- Assist in creating a welcoming and safe environment for children, supporting their participation in meaningful activities with parents.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of program resources and practice manuals.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Certificate in Office Administration or a minimum of three years’ relevant experience.
- Knowledge of intake and assessment processes, and an understanding of risk indicators, including family violence and mental health.
- Experience working within the community welfare sector or with relevant government agencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to support diverse client needs.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Desktop Publishing tools.
- A positive, team-oriented approach with personal resilience, flexibility, and a sense of humour.
