As the Project Manager, Indigenous Strategies and Services, you will provide overall project management and guidance to support the implementation of important strategies and programs that are part of the One Sydney, Many People strategy.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Work in a dynamic and collaborative environment reporting into the Senior Manager, Strategy, DVC ISS
  • Manage the development and implementation of various projects across schools and faculties
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate with project teams across the University
  • Monitor and report on project implementation to leadership, including expenditure, issues and mitigation strategies
  • Provide effective leadership, people management and coordination of project staff
  • Manage key relationships with faculties, schools and business units to build impact and influence

About you

  • A demonstrated high level of understanding and commitment to Aboriginal culture and society and lived experience in working with, and communicating with Aboriginal people, government, industry, and civil society
  • Proven skills in planning, analysis, communication, and meeting strict deadlines under competing demands
  • Financial literacy with experience managing project budgets, income, and expenditure
  • Solid digital production and event management skills across all key project areas (scope, time, cost, quality, HR, communication, risk, procurement, integration)
  • Experience leading complex projects or multiple work streams while managing deadlines and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage diverse internal and external stakeholders on large-scale projects.
