The Opportunity

As a Lifestyle Assistant, you have a vital role to play in delivering the lifestyle programs and ensuring that all residents are able to participate. The successful applicant will be passionate about assisting our residents with their daily needs, has great creativity and strives to ensure our residents have personalised lifestyle activities that suit their interests.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop exciting and engaging recreational activities in consultation with residents and families that are reflective of individual cultural, spiritual, religious and personal preferences
  • Prepare and educate residents and their families on the weekly program of activities
  • Conduct activities within the facility, which are suitable for all residents’ abilities and interests
  • Ensure the weekly program of activities is planned and acted upon and includes outings and activities within the facility which are suitable for all residents’ abilities and interests
  • Participate in residents meetings to gather feedback to continually improve lifestyle options

About you

As the ideal candidate for this role, you will possess highly developed communication skills, and thrive on innovation when it comes to enriching the lives of the elderly. The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle, and extensive experience in a similar role.
